What Is the High School to College Bridge Program?
TAV College offers a unique opportunity for students in Quebec who are 6 credits or fewer away from earning their Secondary School Diploma. Our College–High School Bridge Program is a daytime program designed to help you start college now, while also supporting you in completing your missing high school courses—with full guidance every step of the way.
Whether you’re a Secondary 5 student, an adult education learner, or someone who didn’t pass a ministerial exam, this program gives you the chance to stay on track without delaying your academic progress.
You’ll be dual-enrolled in both college-level courses and the remaining high school credits you need. Our team works directly with the school board to handle all paperwork and registration—so you can focus on learning, not logistics.
Begin your studies in one of our most popular pre-university or technical programs
HOW HIGH SCHOOL TO COLLEGE BRIDGE PROGRAM WORKS?
STEP 1: Apply to TAV College and Choose a Program
Submit your application and select one of our college-level programs:
- Pre-University DEC Programs (e.g., Science or Social Science)
- Technical Programs (e.g., Early Childhood Education, Special Care Counselling)
- Springboard to a DEC (a flexible option to explore academic interests)
STEP 2: We Handle Your High School Credit Registration
Once you’re accepted, we work with our school board partner to enroll you in the high school courses you still need. You don’t need to contact the school board yourself — we manage all communication and paperwork on your behalf.
STEP 3: Start College Classes in the Fall Semester
Begin your college program alongside other students. You’ll attend your college courses as usual, while also receiving instruction and support for your remaining high school subjects.
STEP 4: Work on Both College and High School Courses
You’ll be dual-registered — meaning you’ll study both at the college level and complete your high school credits at the same time. High school courses are delivered on campus with direct support from instructors.
STEP 5: Finish High School Requirements by January
With structured academic support and unit-based exams, you’ll complete your remaining high school courses by the end of the fall semester — including any ministerial exam retakes, if needed.
STEP 6: Continue Your College Program Without Delay
In January, you’ll transition seamlessly into the winter semester of your college program — with your high school diploma officially completed and no break in your studies.
