• Code of Conduct: This regulation aims to ensure an environment in which all members of the college community can thrive and learn.
  • The College has no tolerance for any form of intimidation, violence or general misconduct.
  • Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited in college buildings.
  • It is forbidden to consume, possess, serve or sell alcohol without the authorization of management or the person duly authorized for this purpose.
  • Students and staff are prohibited from using, distributing, selling or possessing cannabis on TAV College premises.
• Regulation Promoting Academic Success: This regulation clarifies the mechanisms applied by the College in the event of repeated failures.

  French language requirements for students studying in English.
• Institutional Policy on the Evaluation of Student Achievement (IPESA): It explains the rules for evaluating students, including :
  
  • • All evaluations aim to measure achievement of course objectives and competencies, and must be followed by feedback to students.
    • Teachers are required to prepare students for final evaluations with formative evaluations.
    • The weighting of the final evaluation will be at least 40% (may be distributed between several final evaluations) and 30% of the final grade will have already been allocated before the final stage of the semester.
    • To ensure objectivity during evaluations, all assessments will be graded using a grading scale or rubric with precise, weighted criteria.
    • Teachers must apply the penalty rule for late work, and language errors in their corrections.
    • During team work, the team contract will be used and students will be graded on the basis of their individual performance.
    • It is the student’s responsibility to attend class, but no marks are to be awarded for attendance and in-class participation.
    • All plagiarism, attempt to plagiarize or collaboration to plagiarize will lead to a grade of zero (0) for an exam or assignment. Find out how to avoid plagiarism in your work with this video.
    • Students who feel they have been unfairly assessed in a summative evaluation may request a grade review through the registrar’s office no later than 60 days after the official end of the course. Any request after this deadline will be refused.
    • Attendance at final evaluations is mandatory. A student who is absent without serious justification will automatically receive a grade of zero (0). A student who is unable to complete the final evaluation due to illness or other extenuating circumstances must complete the appropriate form (Appendix 4) and submit it to the Program Coordinator
      as soon as possible. The College will determine whether the student is eligible for a make-up evaluation.

• • • Policy Against Sexual Violence: This policy applies at all times between students, and teaching and non-teaching staff. 
      • • The College has NO TOLERANCE for acts of sexual violence of any kind. 
        • A person commits an act of sexual harassment, psychological harassment or violence, when he/she: makes unwelcomed sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature; subjects others or exposes others to behavior that may result in psychological trauma that can include anxiety and depression; adopts attitudes and/or violent behaviors that violate the laws of Canada and Quebec. 
        • To prevent any misuse of power in interpersonal relations, the College forbids anyone in a position of authority to have a romantic, sexual or intimate relationship with a student, as long as one has authority over the other.
    • Anti-Bullying and Anti-Violence Policy: It aims to prevent all forms of intimidation and violence directed at a student, teacher or other member of staff.
    • Student Mental Health Policy: It demonstrates the College’s commitment to providing a living and learning environment that is healthy, safe, caring and conducive to thriving mental health.
