TECHNIQUES D’ÉDUCATION À L’ENFANCE (JEE.0K) AEC
Le but du programme d’attestation en techniques d'éducation à l'enfance est de permettre à l’éducatrice d’assumer pleinement les tâches reliées à l’action éducative et à la prise en charge d’un groupe d’enfants âgés entre 0 à 12 ans dans un milieu offrant des services de garde.
La personne ayant obtenu une attestation en éducation à l’enfance est appelée à intervenir auprès d'enfants âgés de 0 à 12 ans. Sa fonction principale consiste à créer un milieu de vie propice au développement physique, psychomoteur, cognitif, langagier, socio-affectif et moral de l'enfant en établissant avec celui-ci une relation significative sur le plan affectif. Elle a également pour rôle de concevoir, d'organiser, d'animer et d'évaluer des activités éducatives favorisant le développement global de l'enfant.
En outre, de la même façon que l’éducatrice voit à la santé, à la sécurité et au bien-être des enfants qui lui sont confiés, elle doit prendre soin de sa propre santé (physique et mentale) en aménageant l’environnement du service de garde de façon sécuritaire et en organisant le déroulement d'une journée de façon à éviter le surmenage et à effectuer une gestion efficace de son stress. En ce sens, apprendre à équilibrer et à renouveler ses énergies à travers l'ensemble de son mode de vie représente une compétence essentielle à développer pour assumer les nombreuses responsabilités et tâches d'une éducatrice.
De même, l'éducatrice amorce une réflexion sur sa pratique dans une perspective de perfectionnement continu. La réflexion sur la pratique est reconnue comme un moyen privilégié de développement personnel et professionnel dans le domaine de l’éducation.
